Kroos teases against FC Bayern

With the release of coach Julian Nagelsmann, FC Bayern caused a bang last week. Former Munich Toni Kroos was also surprised by what happened at his former club, to say the least. The ex-national player could not resist a small verbal tip towards the club management.

First backing, then separation: In the course of Julian Nagelsmann’s leave of absence, the bosses of FC Bayern did not look the happiest. President Herbert Hainer in particular was subsequently accused of not playing with open cards.

From a distance, Real Madrid’s midfield director Toni Kroos also observed the hustle and bustle on Säbener Straße. In his podcast “Einfach mal Luppen” the 33-year-old found critical words for the record champions.

“If you think it’s sporty, then that’s the way it is,” Kroos said diplomatically about the decision by Bayern officials to release Nagelsmann from his duties.

Because of Nagelsmann: Kroos teases against Bayern

However, he was irritated by her commitments to the coach in the days before his departure. “I was even at the point that I briefly believed how much they had backed him up until a week before,” Kroos said smugly against Bayern.

Club boss Herbert Hainer spoke of a “long-term” project in a “kicker” interview on Monday before Nagelsmann’s dismissal.

“That was unusual. There were better results and there was much more criticism. They really stood behind it,” Kroos pointed out to the enormous discrepancy between the announcement and implementation.

Nagelsmann was replaced by Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich. On Saturday evening, the former BVB coach celebrates his debut in a top duel with his ex-employer.
