The Berlinale jury gathered for a group photo on February 15, 2023, on the eve of the opening of the 73rd film festival. 19 films compete for the Golden Bear.
It probably landed on Tuesday. Hollywood actress Kristen Stewart (32) gets to work on time as this year’s jury president.
After today’s opening, the competition will start tomorrow, including the premieres of “BlackBerry” and “Someday we’ll tell each other everything”. 19 films compete for the Golden and Silver Bear Awards (actors, directors, among others).
Six other jury members decide on the awards together with Kristen Stewart. Among them is the Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani (39).
Also on the jury are German director Valeska Grisebach (55, “Western”), Goldbären directors Radu Jude (45) and Carla Simon (36), US casting director Francine Maisler (61) and filmmaker Johnnie To (67 ).
