In May 2018, Eintracht Frankfurt celebrated one of the greatest successes in the club’s recent history when the Hessians surprisingly won 3-1 against the then almost overwhelming FC Bayern in the DFB Cup final. Niko Kovac was on the sidelines at the SGE at the time and resorted to a simple but highly effective recipe to surprise the record champions.
