Ruth Vandenberghe, mayor: “With this record year, Kortrijk is once again proving itself to be a vibrant city that is attracting more and more people. The city continues to focus on events, hospitality and attractiveness of the city center to continue this trend in the coming years.”
French and Dutch visitors in particular visited noticeably more often. Maxim Veys, Alderman for Tourism: “In 2024, 160,521 French people came to Kortrijk, a growth of 14.9% compared to last year (139,683). The number of Dutch visitors also rose sharply by 46.2%, good for 49,838 visitors. This increase is a nice addition to the rising number of visitors from our own province.”
