For 95 million from Frankfurt
With his forced transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt to Paris Saint-Germain, Randal Kolo Muani caused a lot of dissatisfaction among SGE supporters – the Hesse account, however, was filled with 95 million euros. The 24-year-old attacker went on strike to fulfill his wish to move. “It’s true, there were a lot of noises and stories,” explained Kolo Muani on “RMC Sport“. “It was a little complicated for me to deal with,” but he was very well looked after. “Now it’s up to me to play my football here.”
The France international striker really wanted to go to PSG, as he confirmed: “Yes, I was born here, I grew up here. I did everything here. For me it was an opportunity that I shouldn’t miss. I gave everything to come.” The first few months at his new place of work were “very, very complicated”. “I hadn’t settled in yet. I had to digest the transfer first. The expectations of me are very high due to the amount of money and the pressure is great.”

Kolo Muani, who is said to have assured some relatives that he never wants to wear the Eintracht Frankfurt jersey again and allegedly expressed his determination in several Whatsapp messages, said, according to a “L’Équipe” report, shortly before the transfer deadline: “That I don’t care, let them find a solution.” When the window in Germany closed at 6 p.m. on September 1st, those responsible in Paris almost admitted defeat: the deal will not go through, it was said from PSG circles.

But behind the scenes, work continued diligently. Despite the narrow scope for action due to Financial Fair Play, in the end PSG was able to guarantee Frankfurt 95 million euros. And even though a replacement could no longer be signed before the deadline, Eintracht finally gave in and agreed to the transfer. Shortly before midnight, Kolo Muani signed a five-year contract in Paris.
In ten PSG competitive games so far, the offensive man, who only came to Frankfurt from Nantes on a free transfer in 2022, has scored three goals and two assists. The market value of the right foot is estimated at 80 million euros.
