Sarah Dzafce tells in Ukkola’s program how she heard about the loss of her crown.

This year’s Miss Finland Sarah Dzafce lost her Miss crown last week. Dzafce had stretched his eyes in a picture taken by his friend, and a huge racist uproar arose.

Dzafce is now telling Ukkola’s show how she heard about the loss of her Miss title.

Dzafce says that he spoke on the phone with Sunneva Sjögren, the chairperson of the Miss Finland organization, during his holiday trip.

– Sunneva told me on the phone that “I won’t take a crown from you, we can figure this out together.” I trusted his word because I myself was of the opinion that we can handle the matter together, Dzafce says.

Sjögren and Dzafce agree to hold a meeting as long as Dzafce arrives in Finland from his trip abroad.

The meeting was held in the morning at Dzafce’s house. Sunneva Sjögren was also accompanied by her daughter, who works in the pageant organization.

Dzafce was always in the belief that in the meeting we would think together how to solve the matter.

– The conversation turned very quickly into Sunneva telling me that “it has come to the conclusion that you have to give up your title.” This came right out of the box for me.

Sjögren handed Dzafce a separation agreement.

– At that point I looked at Sunneva and asked if there was nothing that could be done. He replied that “nothing can be done, this has been decided.”

This is how Sunneva Sjögren commented

Sjögren tells Iltalehti via email that they as an organization did everything they could to rectify the situation. According to Sjögren, the Miss Finland organization believes that everyone has the opportunity to correct their actions with their actions.

– On Wednesday, however, the crisis expanded internationally. We looked at the situation as a whole and concluded that we would not be able to continue our operations in accordance with our values if the cooperation with Sarah Dzafce had continued, Sjögren writes.
