Kocaelispor, one of the Trendyol 1st League teams, signed a 1.5-year contract with coach İsmet Taşdemir.
Speaking at the signing ceremony held at Yıldız Entegre Kocaeli Stadium, Kocaelispor President Recep Durul thanked the resigned coach Ertuğrul Sağlam for his contributions and efforts and wished him success in his career.
Stating that Taşdemir is a coach with successes and championships, Durul said that they met and agreed with Taşdemir because success is in Kocaelispor’s genes.
Durul stated that Taşdemir is experienced and has a structure that adds vision to the teams he plays for, and said:
“Taşdemir will transfer his experience and knowledge to Kocaelispor in the future. As a community, as a city, we will reach the championship in the final and go to the Super League after 16 years. Our fans should also be comforted in this regard. When we look at our fans, the reactions are positive, İsmet is a person everyone accepts.” We say ‘welcome to our club, our city, our community’ to our teacher İsmet. Hopefully we will embrace the championship that our city has been waiting for a long time. “We will be champions and hopefully we will represent our city in the Super League.”

Coach Taşdemir also thanked Ertuğrul Sağlam for the effort he has given to the team so far and noted that he knows Kocaelispor closely.
Stating that Kocaelispor is a club where every coach would want to be successful and go down in history, Taşdemir said, “We are here to live what everyone dreams of. For this, my team and I will fight until the end. Successes in football do not come alone. When you unite in difficult times, unity is the best in difficult times.” “When you take it to a higher level, success becomes inevitable. We were successful because we achieved this in my career as a coach.” he said.
Taşdemir pointed out that the only thing everyone wants is to step into the Super League and said, “They are a leading team right now, we all need to be united in order to make it to the end of the season.” he said.
After the speeches, Taşdemir signed the 1.5-year contract.
