The KNVB has appointed Dennis Higler as referee for the game for the Johan Cruijff Scale on Saturday. The match in Amsterdam will be between national champion Ajax and cup winner PSV.
The match for the Dutch supercup is already for the third time in a row between Ajax and PSV. Last year, the people of Eindhoven were too strong in Amsterdam with no less than 0-4.
It is the second time for Higler that he is allowed to whistle the match for the Johan Cruijff Scale. In 2019 he was also the referee and even then the match between Ajax and PSV went on. The team from Amsterdam then won 2-0.
The duel between Ajax and PSV will be played in the Johan Cruijff Arena. The kick-off is at 20:00.
