KNMI warns of slipperiness due to snow in Groningen and Drenthe. Meppel turns white

The KNMI warns on Sunday evening for slipperiness due to snowfall in Groningen and Drenthe. The institute has declared code yellow for the entire Northeast Netherlands.

Because it is freezing, according to the KNMI, 1 to 3 centimeters of snow can remain locally. This results in slippery roads and limited visibility for road users.

The weather warning also applies to Friesland, Gelderland, Overijssel and Flevoland.
