ABN Amro: ‘Hospitals in the red’

Amsterdam – Healthcare is heading for a major shortage of surgical capacity in 2030, given the increase in vacancies in hospitals. An analysis by the healthcare department of ABN Amro predicts that in 2030 about 18 to 20 percent less surgery will be possible because the staff is not there. “This costs society happiness and can cause hospitals to plunge into the red.”
