Kneistival will still exist, but in a different form

The municipality announced the end of Kneistival last year: organizing a free festival is not a task for a municipality. And so it seemed that a tradition of more than thirty years of free pop and rock on Heldenplein came to an end.

The festival was always six days, and often brought big names to the municipality. But it also cost the municipality something: in the end about 300,000 euros.

But Knokke-Heist does not draw a line under the festival: on July 1, 2 and 3 there are performances again, and there are even names: Yegueni, Les Truttes and Mustii.
