Knack Roeselare versus Volley Menen, that was the cup final in men’s volleyball for the third time this afternoon. The last two editions always went to the gentlemen from Roeselare, but Menen already won two of the three mutual confrontations between the two teams this year.
Both teams started the game wait and see and we got an equal start of the first set. Roeselare won eight of the last ten cup finals and so the Antwerp Sportpaleis has few surprises for them. Halfway through the first set, the young Basil Dermaux also felt completely in his SAS, he served firmly and provided nearly four aces in a row. Knack ended up until 14-18 and did not give up that gap anymore, with 19-25 the first set was for Roeselare.
