Klaver rushes to a big improvement pr at 400 meters

Lieke Klaver has set a new personal best in the 400 meters at the Diamond League in Chorzwo, Poland. The athlete from Enkhuizen crossed the line after 49.81 seconds, her best time of her career. That was an improvement of almost four-tenths on her old PR (50.18).

Her final time also earned her second place in the competition. Poland’s Natalia Kaczmarek won in 49.48 seconds. Marileidy Paulino was third.

Klaver is the second Dutchman who has managed to dive below the magical limit of fifty seconds. Femke Bol holds the current Dutch record with 49.44.
