With the Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Dutch denim pioneer Kings Of Indigo is opening a new chapter. The season marks a moment of reflection and new beginnings. The focus is on the relationship between past and present: classic denim craftsmanship meets modern proportions, new silhouettes and a contemporary take on unisex dressing.
Inspired by Japanese craftsmanship and Americana iconography, the brand returns to high-quality denim and authentic washes. At the same time, the collection is expanding to include more dynamic cuts, new volumes and a range of innovative unisex fits that reflect changing contemporary wearing habits.
Voluminous shapes, generous draping and sophisticated pleat constructions characterize the image. Balloon trousers, cropped jackets with a boxy silhouette and elaborately placed pleated details create new proportions and give the looks movement and lightness. Light dry denim qualities and new cotton-linen blends combine the robustness of classic denim fabrics with the elegance of tailored silhouettes and fine pleats.
Wide and figure-hugging unisex silhouettes open up a variety of styling options and invite you to interpret denim individually – far beyond classic jeans. One of the key pieces of the season is the new unisex fit “Jadis”. The balloon trousers with a medium waist height get their characteristic volume thanks to three-part leg constructions and effectively highlight the texture and character of the denim. The new raw jacquard denim gives the model an innovative look and feel.
Details also come into greater focus. Pleats, darts and elaborate constructions create freedom of movement and emphasize the natural shape of the body. Models like “Inanna” with its collar-inspired waist details or “Zuzu” with striking pleats exemplify the combination of playfulness and elegance that permeates the collection.
In addition to the new light dry denim, cotton-linen blends, pure linen qualities and the continuously expanding natural stretch technology expand the range. The latter allows for a high level of comfort and freedom of movement without the use of elastane. In addition to the classic denim nuances, the collection relies on fresh accents in strong red for jersey styles as well as lively green tones within the linen line. In the denim sector, unbleached raw cotton looks and warm overdye washes provide new perspectives beyond the traditional indigo.
