Radio host Kimmo Vehviläinen tells in a recent I might be wrong -podcast episode about a three-month period when he only slept three hours a night.

Vehviläinen says that at that time he lived “twelve-hour days” for three autumns in a row. In the mornings he hosted the radio and in the evenings Big Brother Finland broadcasts of the program.

– Big Brother was released at twelve at night and then had to wake up at four, he describes.

– Terrible, nightmarish, co-presenter Katja Ståhl is horrified.

– It just lasted three months, probably not longer, Vehviläinen guesses.

Vehviläinen describes his days as first consisting of work in the morning, then three hours of sleep, then work again and three hours of sleep again.

– It’s a wonder you don’t have Parkinson’s or something similar, Ståhl marvels.

Ståhl is horrified that three months in Vehviläinen’s squirrel wheel is a really long time. Vehviläinen, on the other hand, reminds Ståhl that he too has lived the life of a baby.

– Yes, but I was young, Ståhl acknowledges.

Big Brother Finland program was shown on MTV’s Sub channel between 2005 and 2014. In 2019, Nelonen bought the rights and the series continued in the fall of 2019.

Kimmo Vehviläinen hosted the main broadcasts of the program in 2019–2022. Alma Hätönen and Elina Kottonen were also seen as his co-hosts.
