On the set of the upcoming drama series All’s Fair, Kardashian tried to convince her co-star Sarah Paulson that the journey beyond Earth’s orbit wasn’t real. “I’m sending you a million articles about Buzz Aldrin and the rest of them,” Kardashian tells Paulson in the episode.
The reality TV star then reads an article that mentions Buzz Aldrin – the astronaut who took part in the Apollo 11 mission along with Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins – and claims that the article suggests a deception.
“I deal with conspiracy theories all the time,” said Kardashian, who later reiterated on camera that she believes the landing never happened.
NASA responds with a clear message
The deputy administrator of the NASASean Duffy, refuted Kardashian’s comments on Thursday, writing on X: “Yes @KimKardashian we’ve been to the moon before… six times!” Duffy also took the opportunity to mention that the Artemis program is “resuming under the leadership” of President Donald Trump. “We won the last space race and we will win this one too,” Duffy added.

As for the viral clip of Aldrin that Kardashian appears to be referring to, Reuters published a report in 2022 debunking conspiracy theories that the moon landing wasn’t real. The media outlet addressed the claims, writing: “Social media users are sharing a video of astronaut Buzz Aldrin being interviewed by American television host Conan O’Brien, claiming that Aldrin’s comments about portions of the moon landing broadcasts being animated are proof it’s all fake.”
Fact: People have been to the moon
The organization clarified that the video was taken out of context, explaining that Aldrin was referring to “animations used by television networks at the time in their coverage of the moon landing, accompanied by real footage,” before confronting the doubters with facts: “The moon landing actually happened, and people actually walked on the moon.”
