In the future, Kik will have to do without Managing Director David Philipoom in the Netherlands.

The head of the KIK Textiel en non-food BV leaves the German textile discounter after almost eight years, Philipoom said on Tuesday at the LinkedIn career network. “During this time, we developed from the lowest sales of the lowest sales – measured by the average sales per branch – with strong productivity figures and an impressive expansion,” said Philipoom. “It was a way with ups and downs. The result is a Kik Netherlands that is well positioned for the future.”

Philipoom came to Kik in February 2018. During this time, the branch network was significantly expanded and a new store concept was launched and the web shop recently connected in September.

Before his time at Kik, he was active with the American suitcase specialist Tumi and for clothing manufacturers such as Topshop, River Island and Esprit. It is not yet clear where it is going for the manager and who takes over for him.

The farewell follows a number of changes in KIK. In May, Christian Kümmel became the new Chief Financial Officer of KIK Textiles and Non-Food GmbH and then Verena Gaese as the new managing director of the textile sector.
