Thanks to Steven Skrzybski’s fourth goal of the season, Holstein Kiel redeemed themselves in the 2nd Bundesliga against SV Sandhausen for the 7-2 defeat at SC Paderborn a week ago.

The attacker’s long-range shot in the 72nd minute gave the North Germans a flattering 1-0 (0-0) win against Sandhausen on Matchday 6. In front of 10,000 spectators, including Schleswig-Holstein’s Prime Minister Daniel Günther, the first 45 minutes were cultivated boredom. The only thing worth mentioning was the header from visiting captain Alexander Schirow, which was defused by Kiel goalkeeper Thomas Dähne (39th minute).

Even after the change of sides, not much happened, the goal of the day came practically out of nowhere. After this defeat, Sandhausen is still waiting for the first away point.

The game between Holstein Kiel and SV Sandhausen had little to offer. Skrzybski’s goal made the difference.

Sandhausen welcomes promoted Kaiserslautern

The SVS welcomes 1. FC Kaiserslautern on Matchday 7 (Sunday, 1.30 p.m.). A day earlier, Kiel meets SSV Jahn Regensburg away from home (1 p.m.).
