The 49-year-old woman from Hoofddorp left for work in Beverwijk around 8:30 am last Wednesday in a black car, but never arrived. Her car was later found in Nieuw-Vennep.

Her kidnapping now appears to be part of a conflict in the criminal drug world, in which she is used as leverage. The police are conducting a large-scale investigation into the kidnapping. The victim has not yet been found.

Six suspects

The police have now arrested six suspects in the investigation. This morning, the police announced that they had arrested a sixth suspect. It concerns a 29-year-old man from Beersel, Belgium. Previously, the police arrested two 37-year-old men from Almere and three men (17, 20 and 24 years old) from Rotterdam on suspicion of involvement in the kidnapping.
