Kickboxer Osaro takes interim world heavyweight title at Glory

Tariq Osaro caused a huge surprise during Collision 5. The kickboxer, who is trained by Mike Passenier, won by knockout against Antonio Plazabat. Later this year, Glory will challenge him against Rico Verhoeven, the current heavyweight world champion.

Jay Overmeer failed to win the most important game of his career. The kickboxer from Badhoevedorp lost the fight for the welterweight world title to defending champion Endy Semeleer in Rotterdam during Collision 5. It was Overmeer’s first defeat at Glory.

Semeleer was declared the winner of the fight by unanimous decision. The Curaçaoan has been the world champion in the welterweight weight class since June 2022. Due to Overmeer’s defeat, Verhoeven is currently the only Dutch world champion at Glory.

The Amsterdammer Ibrahim El Bouni was successful earlier in the evening. He defeated Brazilian Felipe Micheletti after three rounds by unanimous decision of the judges.
