But now the billionaire is increasingly attracting the resentment of the conservatives, and his AI Chatbot Grok is to blame.
Grok – The Conservative Chatbot?
At the beginning of November 2023, Elon Musks Ki startup Xai started the chatbot grok. According to Xai, the special thing about this is that he has direct access to current information from X. In addition, GROK would also answer “spicy” questions that would be rejected by most other AI systems, it said.
During the introduction, the chat bot, which is deeply integrated into the platform X, was praised by Musk as “maximum truthful” and “anti-woke”. This is actually not surprising, after all, the tech visionary rejects too strong political correctness and is a vehement advocate of freedom of speech.
The supporters of Trump’s Maga movement (Make America Great Again) were thrilled. Finally a chat bot was available to them that would not be afraid to spread their information about the elections or racist insults.
But apparently this hope does not come true. To the great disappointment of many X-users close to Trump, Grok is increasingly refusing to reaffirm them in their beliefs. Since March 2025, X-users GROK have been able to ask under the articles to explain or check relationships, but the AI is increasingly deviating from right-wing conservative opinions. According to the “Gizmodo”, the chatbot probably contradicted the alleged connections of the deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a gear and the arrest of a judge to the narrative of the Maga people.
Grok says the truth
An X-user asked Grok on May 1st, which is why he is increasingly losing popularity with Maga. Such a point of view is hardly what Maga people expected from a chatbot from Tesla boss Elon Musk. But ultimately Xai wants to earn money, and that probably works better by neutrality than through warehouse formation.
