The former German midfielder of Real and Juventus, Sami Khedira granted an interview to ESPN in which he talked about some of his former teammates and coaches, also telling a background on his adventure at Juventus.
RONALDO – “I met two Cristiano Ronaldo. One in Madrid, at Real, and one in Turin, at Juventus. In my second experience with CR7, I found him still selfish but also more leader, naturally. Don’t get me wrong, at Real he was part of the team but, in Turin, he was a bit more mature ”.
BOATENG – “As a young man he was better than everyone. So talented … I thought that boy was among the top five players in the world. He could play in all positions. But he had to work harder.”[[
MOURINHO – “After the defeat against Spain at the 2010 World Cup, I was really upset and depressed. Then I got a message from my brother. He said to me:” Mourinho called you, he wants you to be his 6. “I didn’t think Mourinho was interested in me, I was very young and didn’t believe it. But then I called José and he said: “Yes, you are an incredible player and an incredible guy, I want you to join me at Real Madrid.” We had the talks , but a minute or two. José just asked, “What are your expectations?” I said I wanted to win. And he said, “Great, see you in Los Angeles in two weeks” … that’s it! ” .
