Does he even stop?
Bereavement: Bundesliga player’s future open

Kevin Kampl has been under contract with RB Leipzig for more than eight years and has played almost 300 games for the Saxons. However, it is unclear whether another will be added.
Kevin Kampl hasn’t been on the pitch for months. The reason for this is a family bereavement that the midfielder made public a few weeks ago. It is currently completely unclear whether and when the 35-year-old will play for RB Leipzig again.
“Kevin can decide for himself how long he needs. What he plans to do together with the family. We have given him the time,” said coach Ole Werner on the sidelines of the game against Bayer Leverkusen on the TV channel Sky.
Club officials are also dealing with the situation. Sports managing director Marcel Schäfer explained: “There are several options on the table.” But there is no decision yet. Schäfer emphasized: “In the last few weeks we have had several open, very confidential, honest conversations with Kevin – about the really, very special circumstances and his family situation.” The focus was on the well-being of Kampl and his family.
In November, Kampl posted a photo of himself at a grave on Instagram. He wrote: “Rest in peace my big brother, we will miss you even if you are always with us! With eternal love… your little brother [sic!].” He also publicly thanked everyone for their sympathy.
Yesterday, Friday, the “Leipziger Volkszeitung” even reported an immediate end to his career, which the club did not confirm for the time being.
