The winter transfer phase is underway and the German clubs are in the middle of it. Rumors and fixed changes from the world of football can be found here.
With the beginning of 2025, the transfer window opened in the Bundesliga and other European leagues. In Germany the transfer period ends on February 3rd. After that, players can still move abroad, provided the leagues there have a later transfer deadline.
Which clubs are most in need of reinforcements, what is FC Bayern doing and what is the situation at the top European clubs? These and many other questions will be answered this transfer winter. At t-online you can find an overview of the most important guesses and changes from Germany and the world.
The former national player only came from Union Berlin in January 2024. But the 33-year-old is no longer a regular player in Wolfsburg. He also caused a huge stir during the first half of the season with homophobic comments at an internal event.
“It is often the case that a situation is not satisfactory for a player, that there is simply not enough playing time. When these situations arise, we sit down together. And if there is no other solution than to let him go, Then that’s just how it is,” said Hasenhüttl.
Colombian footballer James Rodríguez has left Spanish first division club Rayo Vallecano after just four and a half months. He obviously had very special wishes during the negotiations. Read more about this here.
FC Bayern is loaning its young player Arijon Ibrahimović to Lazio. As the club announced on Monday, the 19-year-old attacking midfielder will initially be available to the Italian first division club until the end of the season. In addition, a purchase option is said to have been agreed for a transfer fee of allegedly ten million euros. Ibrahimović still has a contract in Munich until 2027.
This is Ibrahimović’s second loan move to Italy. Last season he played for Frosinone Calcio and scored two goals in 18 competitive appearances. After the club was relegated to Serie B, the Nuremberg native returned to Munich.
This season, Ibrahimović was in head coach Vincent Kompany’s squad several times, but only made three short appearances in the Champions League, the Bundesliga and the DFB Cup.
Will Stefanos Tzimas become the most expensive Greek of all time? As the English portal “Anfield Watch” reports, Liverpool FC is interested in signing the 19-year-old talent from 1. FC Nürnberg. Accordingly, Tzimas should move this winter – for a considerable sum.
Liverpool are apparently ready to pay around 30 million euros for the Greek. Last week there were even talks between Nuremberg, Liverpool and Paok Saloniki, which loaned Tzimas to the club. The striker’s advisor was also included in the preliminary negotiations, it is said. In the current season, Tzimas has eight goals and two assists.
Keeper Ron-Thorben Hoffmann, who is facing a change, was missing from the start of the training week for second division club FC Schalke 04. The club announced that the sports management had released the 25-year-old for discussions with other clubs. According to media reports, Hoffmann is about to return to Eintracht Braunschweig, from where he moved to the Royal Blues before the season.
