Kelly Osbourne responds to Ozempic allegations and body shaming online. Mother Sharon publicly supports her after the loss of Ozzy Osbourne.
Kelly Osbourne’s body became the target of dozens of users on social media – just a few months after the death of her father Ozzy Osbourne. She commented in detail on the derogatory and hurtful comments in an Instagram video and found clear words for her critics. Mother Sharon Osbourne agreed in an interview.
Significant weight loss – Ozempic is probably not the reason
After the heavy metal icon’s death in July 2025, verbal attacks on the TV personality increased via social media. Countless users were outraged by Kelly Osbourne’s significant weight loss and accused her of following the Ozempic trend. However, the weight loss had nothing to do with the infamous weight loss injections, mother Sharon Osbourne made clear in a conversation with British presenter Piers Morgan on his YouTube show “Piers Morgan Uncensored”.
In a now-deleted Instagram clip, Kelly Osbourne defended herself against online hate: “To the people who think they’re funny and mean when they write comments like, ‘Are you sick?’ or ‘Stop Ozempic, you don’t look good’ – my father just died and I’m doing my best,” the 41-year-old told People magazine. She added: “The only thing I live for right now is my family. And I decided to share my content with you and show the happy side of my life, not the sad side. So to all these people: you can all love me.”
Mother rushed to support
Sharon Osbourne appeared on Morgan’s show to discuss her late husband’s final days. During the interview, the moderator showed the 73-year-old the Instagram clip in which her daughter stood up to her critics’ allegations.
The mother immediately agreed with Kelly Osbourne: “She’s right. She’s not happy, she lost her father, she can’t eat right now.” Later in the interview, Sharon Osbourne explained the need for strangers to put down her daughter online: “It’s a shield for people who are unhappy. I feel bad for these people, something’s wrong in their lives. They’re not happy.”
The Last Days of the Prince of Darkness
The metal singer died on July 22, 2025 at the age of 76, just 17 days after the former Black Sabbath frontman performed a farewell concert at Villa Park in Birmingham. Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2019 and has struggled with health problems since then. Shortly before the concert he was admitted to a clinic for an unknown reason. The hospital stay was so secret that not even son Jack Osbourne knew about it.
