Artist Katy Perry calls her partner, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the love of her life.
Perry answered the questions put to him The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris – after the premiere of the concert film at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
He told about his 2025 world tour at the event.
– Now, after 91 performances, I feel like a more balanced person in many ways. I’m really in love, Perry says.
The performances in Paris were filmed for the concert film.
– That concert was after I had met the love of my life, so I felt very anchored. I’m a bit like a rainbow colored kite. I’m flying really high. Sometimes I need something to keep me grounded. Now that I finally have such an anchor, I feel whole.
Perry described 2025 as one of the most difficult years of his life.
– Last year was probably one of the most difficult years of my life, and I went through a huge amount of things. There were days that were really, really hard, but I kept going because I made a promise to my fans, my daughter and myself. I got over it. I walked through fire because everyone has to walk through their own fire. And if you go through hell, you keep going, because on the other side of hell is heaven.
Perry broke up with her longtime partner, actor Orlando Bloom. The couple were together for nine years and have a daughter together, Daisy. They confirmed their separation in July 2025.
Rumors about Perry and Trudeau’s relationship began circulating after Perry and Bloom confirmed their split in July.
Trudeau resigned as prime minister in early January 2025. He confirmed his separation from his ex-wife in 2023.
