The investment company Katjes International GmbH & Co. KG announced the successful increase in an existing company bond on Tuesday. The background is the acquisition of a majority in Munich fashion company Bogner, which was announced last Friday.

Katjes International therefore increased his 2023/2028 company bond by 70 million euros to a total of 185 million euros as part of a private placement. “The additional funds essentially serve to finance the 60 percent participation at Willy Bogner GmbH,” says a message.

The increase was supported “by a broad basis of national and international institutional investors”, the company said. Due to the high demand, “the output volume was set with an issue price of well over 100 percent with 70 million euros”.

Tobias Bachmüller, the managing partner of Katjes International, praised the encouragement: “The feedback from investors and the quick placement reflects the confidence in our strategy and its consistent further development with the acquisition of Bogner,” he said in a statement. The company, which previously mainly has companies from the cosmetics and food divisions, wants to go into the “luxury goods segment” for the first time with the Bogner takeover.
