Katja Schuurman (47) has a new man in her life. It is still early days, but after ‘months of whining’ about the break with chef Freek van Noortwijk, the actress now feels ‘butterflies’ for another man.
,,I did meet a very nice man”, she says as Show news starts about a photo of Katja and the man in Weekendwhich she has never seen herself. ,,But I can’t say anything about that yet”, she continues, presumably because the two are still discovering each other.
Although it seems as if Katja is not completely serious, she agrees after seeing the photo that she is having a good time with the man. “Nice, isn’t it, after months of whining a bit like butterflies, that’s much more fun, isn’t it? That also fits perfectly with the summer vibe.” Is she now heading for a romantic summer? “I suspect so.”
Katja was previously married to actor Thijs Römer, with whom she has daughter Sammie. In 2020 she welcomed daughter Coco with Freek van Noortwijk, whom she had married a year earlier. They divorced last year. Though the breakup hit hard, she continued to believe in love unabated.
“But I don’t have to think about it right now,” she said last weekend in conversation with mezza† ,,After the divorce with Thijs, I went straight into the single life. I don’t need that at all now. I will probably have a flirt in the summer, or that someone will stay overnight, but they can leave soon, haha.”
