Media personality Katie Price, 45, was stopped in traffic by the police on Friday evening, July 21. The reason for the stop was driving without a driver’s license and insurance.
The Daily Mail according to reports received, the police interviewed the star for an hour, after which they impounded his car. Price was disqualified from driving in December 2021 when he crashed his car near his home in Sussex while under the influence of cocaine and alcohol. Price only got back behind the wheel recently when his driving ban ended.
The same weekend that the star was pulled over by authorities, Price posted a live Tiktok video in which he claimed he was currently paying £14,000 on his car insurance. In addition, he talked about his problems with insurance companies.
– No insurance company agrees to guarantee me a new car or anything else. So I’m lucky to be on the road with the car I have now. It’s not a car I want to drive, but no one wants to convince me. I have to wait a year to get a new car, Price said in the video.
– The insurance quotes I got for a normal £15,000 car are 73,000, 53,000 and 33,000 – and those were my quotes too because no one wants to insure me because of who I am. It’s discrimination: if it was a normal working person, they wouldn’t be charging that much, Price continued.
According to locals, Price had received a parking ticket within the same week before his car was impounded.
