Dafter weeks marked by rigorous looks and power suits monochromatic, Kate Middleton change register. The Princess of Wales looked radiant during his last official visit toAnna Freud Centre of Londona charity of which she has been patron since 2016. And if the aim of her recent outings in “mannish” suits was to shift the focus exclusively to work, this time Kate has given space to glamour, softness and that maternal spontaneity which makes it, in the eyes of its subjects, simply irresistible.

Kate Middleton, style turning point: the return of the midi dress

It looked like the “new” post-illness Kate had definitively married the aesthetics of businesswoman inflexible. Instead, for the event linked to children’s mental health, the future queen dusted off one of her iconic garments, once again demonstrating the art of real recycling.

The princess wore a midi sheath dress by Emilia Wickstead. A tailored model that embodies the perfection of British bon ton: long sleeves, Peter Pan collar, belt to mark the waist and a pencil skirt that slides over the silhouette. The real peculiarity? The press blue and white houndstootha timeless classic that royal watchers immediately read as affectionate tribute to Lady Dianawho deeply loved this fantasy.

Accessories and beauty products to match the houndstooth print

To complete the outfit (already shown off in 2022, confirming her sustainable philosophy), Kate played with sophisticated accessories that break the chromatic continuity: pumps in gray crocodile-effect leather with stiletto heels Boss. And then a delicate designer brown suede handbag DeMellier. A touch of precious light with gold and emerald earrings from the royal collection.

Also the beauty look marks a change of pace: the hair, left loose in long soft waves with golden shades, they framed the relaxed face, far from the severity of the pulled buns seen recently.

Mother’s heart: the scene with the newborn

But in addition to elegance, it was the princess’s interaction with the center’s young guests that won the hearts of those present (and those on social media). The Anna Freud Center collaborates with the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood to train child mental health workers, a crucial topic for Kate.

Sitting at a child-sized table, William’s wife has abandoned all formalities. Between games and chatting with parents, a moment occurred pure tenderness: a very small child, attracted by the princess, he grabbed her finger and brought it to his mouth. Kate’s reaction? An amused and patient smile.

“A loving home teaches us how to love and care for others”: these are the words that Kate Middleton often repeats in her speeches, reiterating how love and affection are the basis for the healthy growth of minors. And watching her interact so naturally, it is clear that for her it is not just an institutional duty, but a vocation.
