The star striker of the reigning world champions had to leave the training ground in the middle of everything on Saturday. Even earlier in the week, there was speculation whether Benzema would be able to play in the opening match against Australia on Tuesday.
L’Equipe sports magazine however, reports that the World Cup tournament of the world’s best player is now in jeopardy. According to L’Equipe, Benzema was fit for training on Saturday, but now he is believed to have some degree of muscle injury.
