A former defendant dated January 6, the rebel who attacked the police at the US capitol: “Kill them! Kill them!”, Working for the Ministry of Justice now under Trump. He was appointed to a leading position in one unit. Which is commissioned to reverse the government’s alleged “politicization” against conservative. This emerges from a detailed “NPR” examinationwhich is based on the man’s own statement in court and on recordings of police body cameras from the notorious day of unrest.
Bereaculas and calls for violence
Jared Wise, a former FBI agent from Bend, Oregon, traveled to Washington, DC to support Donald Trump on January 6, 2021. After Trump’s rally on Ellipse, Wise, who is in the 50s, joined the amount that the US capitol stormed. According to “NPR” and federal ambasswriting, he briefly entered the building through a broken door to leave it again through a broken window.
Almost two hours later, according to the federal documents, Wise was still at the scene. He began to insult police officers who tried to restore order. “You are disgusting,” said Wise. And referred to his own experience in the police service. According to federal documents, Wise compared the police with Hitler’s secret police. “You are the Nazis. You are the Gestapo,” he said. And added: “Shake yourself!”
Wise became witness to what the indictment describes as “violence against law enforcement officers”. These include “officials who were pushed to the ground right in front of him”. According to the documents, Wise called the battery fighting with the police: “Yes, fucks her! Yes, kills her!” He added cold: “Kill her! Kill her! Kill her!”
Charge, process and pardon
In 2023, Wise was charged with a federal court in five serious charges, including civilian turmoil and “aid for an attack on police officers”. Wise did not guilty. In his own statement, Wise defended his violent rhetoric as “careless” and admitted that he had “used terrible words when I was angry”. His lawyers argued that the government was trying to “criminalize mere speech”.
According to the NPR, Wise had almost completed his process in 2025, but did not receive a judgment when Trump returned to the White House and issued a mass gift for the accused and convicted of January 6th.
Career in the Trump Ministry of Justice
The participation of Wise in the events of January 6 was not an obstacle to find a job in the Ministry of Justice under Trump. In fact, it could have been an advantage. According to the NPR, Wise now works as a “senior adviser” in a group that is commissioned to reverse an alleged “politicization” of the government under President Joe Biden against “supposed political opponents” – which allegedly also included “unethical law enforcement” by the accused of January.
This position is subject to the anti-weaponization boss of Trump, Ed Martin, who previously headed a non-profit organization, who collected funds for numerous notorious and violent defendants of January 6, as Rolling Stone reported in May. Martin, according to NPR, has since called for a “reparation” for the accused of January 6, which the government must “completely compensate”.
Reaction of the Trump government
The Trump government does not apologize for the hiring of Wise. She announced NPR: “Jared Wise is an estimated member of the Ministry of Justice and we appreciate his contributions to our team.”
