Tracklist and guest stars

Some details of “Vultures,” the title of the album according to several media reports, were already known beforehand. Among other things, Ty Dolla $ign published the probable tracklist of the album on his Instagram photo. This contains 17 tracks, including “Everybody”, “Back To Me”, “Fuk Sumn”, “Drunk”, “Worship” and “Unlock”.

As was also made known by West himself, the song “Everybody” uses a quote from the Backstreet Boys song of the same name. According to that US magazine Variety Charlie Wilson and Lil Baby are also featured on it. West himself is said to have recently played several songs in a restaurant in Miami – including the song “River”, which features Young Thug. Future, on the other hand, is said to be represented on “Paid”. Producer and rapper Timbaland may also be involved; the title “Timbo Freestyle” could indicate this. On the album’s Wikipedia page you can also read that there are also features with James Blake, Leon Bridges, Nicki Minaj, Bump J and Lil Dunk, Playboy Carti, Freddie Gibbs, Offset and Quavo.

US magazine about “Vultures”: “Continuous line of sound”

“Variety” concluded the following after the listening party: “’Vultures’ is an album that seems to have a continuous sound line, with plucking synth bass and a galloping tempo. West and Ty leave plenty of room for guest musicians, and there are plenty of them. Nicki Minaj delivers a verse on the highly anticipated finished version of ‘New Body’, while Gibbs makes a show-stopping guest appearance on ‘Back to Me’, produced by West’s longtime collaborator 88-Keys. In the latter song, they quote a clip from the film ‘Dogma’ in which co-star Jason Mewes says: ‘Beautiful women with big tits don’t just fall from the sky, you know,’ which West repeats over and over again.”

Release date and band name

The collaboration between the two will have the project name ¥$ – the yen sign stands for Ye (as Kanye West now calls himself), the dollar sign for his colleague. An official release date is not yet known, many are speculating a release on December 15, 2023.
