Harry Kane is the goalscorer of the month for November 2024. His spectacular goal in Bayern’s game against FC Augsburg received over 160,000 votes.
Rarely does a goalscorer win the Goal of the Month vote by as large a margin as Kane in November 2024 (2021 Haaland 64%, 2020 Lazaro 60.9%, 2020 Bartels 50.3%). The exceptional striker received well over 50 percent of all votes from the spectators and users of the sports show for his goal to make it 3-0 against Augsburg. The second and third placed Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt and Laura Vogt from 1. FC Köln follow far behind.
Header goal with artistic effort
There’s no question that the goal falls into the header category, but the really spectacular thing happens before Kane easily pushes the ball over the goal line with his forehead. The action is preceded by a pass from Leon Goretzka from the half field, which actually ends up being a bit too long. But it’s not possible, it’s not in Harry Kane’s class, who is positioned directly in front of the Augsburg box.
With an artistic Kung Fu step, the Englishman reaches the ball, volleys it high and then casually heads it into the net. Augsburg’s keeper Nediljko Labrovic is already lying on the ground, defeated.
50th goal in 43 games
This incredible goal, which will probably never be missed in any review of the season, completed Kane’s hat trick that afternoon. He had previously scored twice from the penalty spot. In total, the striker scored an incredible 50 times in 43 Bundesliga games for Bayern. No player before him needed so few games to reach 50. Second-placed Erling Haaland, for example, only scored his 50th Bundesliga goal in his 50th game.
The 59th TdM for Bayern
It is the first goal of the month for Kane and the 59th goal of the month for FC Bayern Munich in over 53 years of this competition. Bayern have thus consolidated their second place in the all-time team rankings, now 20 goals ahead of 1. FC Köln.
