Kane helps Tottenham in extremis to point at Chelsea in heated topper | NOW

Tottenham Hotspur grabbed a point at the last minute in the Premier League topper against Chelsea on Sunday. Harry Kane gave his team a point in stoppage time in a heated game at Stamford Bridge: 2-2. Nottingham Forest recorded the first win since the team’s return to the highest level against West Ham United (1-0).

Koulibaly scored in the nineteenth minute for Chelsea against Tottenham. The Senegalese, who was taken over from Napoli this summer, completed the ball beautifully from a corner from Marc Cucurella.

Chelsea then had the upper hand, with Raheem Sterling among others failing to double the lead. Tottenham was hardly involved for a long time, but after more than an hour of play, they got a big chance. However, Harry Kane’s shot went over.

A few minutes later it was a hit for the Spurs, after which the flames caught on at Stamford Bridge. After a solid tackle by Ben Davies on Kai Havertz, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg scored from a distance. Richarlison was offside in the shot’s path.

Conte and Tuchel both get red

The equalizer led to a disturbance at the dug-outs. Tottenham coach Antonio Conte celebrated his team’s goal exuberantly, after which Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel almost attacked him. Conte was also shown a yellow card.

After the tempers had calmed down, Chelsea went on the hunt for the 2-1 and it fell fifteen minutes before time. In a quick attack, Reece James was able to hit from a standing position. In injury time Eric Dier was already close to 2-2 with a header, after which Kane headed in the equalizer in the 96th minute.

After the game, Conte and Tuchel again got into a fight while shaking hands. The German continued to hold the hand of the Italian. Conte became frustrated by this, after which it almost came to a scuffle again. This time both coaches got the red card.

Nottingham records first win since return

Earlier in the day, Taiwo Awoniyi was crowned match winner at Nottingham-West Ham. The Nigerian, who played for NEC in the past, scored the only goal of the game just before half-time. Awoniyi worked in from close range after he luckily got the ball played against him by West Ham defender Ben Johnson.

Shortly before that, a goal by West Ham was disallowed after VAR intervention due to a foul by Said Benrahma. Nottingham also saw a goal canceled early in the second half on the advice of the VAR: Brennan Johnson was offside.

West Ham had the opportunity to tie the score midway through the second half, but Declan Rice’s penalty was stopped by Dean Henderson. The ball went on the dot because of a foul by Scott McKenna. In the sequel, the home side held on to the lead.

Nottingham were promoted to the Premier League last season after a 23-year absence. Coach Steve Cooper’s team lost in the opening game at Newcastle United (2-0) last weekend.
