Kalle Rovanperä had the expected challenging start at the Sardinian World Rally.
Kalle Rovanperä does not enjoy the Sardinian World Cup. Aop
Kalle Rovanperä There was no top spot on the Friday morning jog run three special stages. The Toyota driver suffered from his second place of origin and only arrived in the day care in seventh place.
The standard rally of the World Rally Championship is just the first one to plow you as the first car behind Rovanperä Elfyn EvansNot to consider the three drivers of M-Sport Ford, who interrupted the morning in the second special stage. Rovanperä is already half a minute to the top.
– It’s not easy. Especially in the first run of the morning we were too much left. It was hard to get to the mood – or at that point there was no feeling. But it was difficult to get on with a good time, Rovanperä said.
– In the middle and last run of the loop, we came from what we could get from that place and that grip. Elfyn should be a little harder, but not terribly. The road seems to be accelerating quite a lot from time to time.
Nothing helps
Rovanperä tried different tire combinations in his car by putting both soft and hard tires underneath. But nothing helped the Finnish driver’s painful situation.
– We tried hard tires for the last clip on a different axle. Still, you can’t get any good balance.
– Let’s try to change some adjustments in the afternoon, but quite a lot of skating. Not only does the pace be carried with narrow sections when you feel like you can’t go, even if you drive quietly. There is just not enough grip, Rovanperä said.
The same three special stages run will be run again in the afternoon. Rovanperä does not believe that his contract will be significantly easier.
– Certainly some wide sections make it easier, but in narrow places, smaller cars are usually just messing up the line. The afternoon may be as difficult, but let’s hope it is a little better, Rovanperä said.
Hyundain Adrien Fourmaux conducts Sardinia’s challenging gravel hall after three special stages. After him are Thierry Neuville, Sebastien’s Ogier, Ott Tänak, Sami Pajari and Takamoto View. The top spruce can fit within 15 seconds.
