Kaiserslautern beats St. Pauli and jumps to second place

The rise of the climber continues. It will be a close affair against FC St. Pauli – in the last few minutes we have to tremble again.

1. FC Kaiserslautern continues to march happily through the 2nd Bundesliga after promotion. With the 2:1 (1:0) against FC St. Pauli, coach Dirk Schuster’s team took second place on the third day of the game and thus gained a cushion on the relegation zone early in the season. For Hamburg, on the other hand, it was the first defeat of the season.

Terrence Boyd (9th) and Kenny Prince Redondo (86th) ensured victory in front of 39,579 fans on the atmospheric Betzenberg. Jakov Medic (88th) shortened for the guests. After the success against Hannover 96 (2:1) and the draw at Holstein Kiel (2:2), Schuster’s team drew level with leaders Jahn Regensburg on points by winning the second home game of the season with seven points.
