Kai Havertz scores in Arsenal FC’s next win

Thanks to Kai Havertz, Arsenal remain the strongest team in the English Premier League and are keeping the pressure on the top duo high.

On Saturday evening, the Gunners won against Newcastle United 4-1 (2-0), it was their sixth league win in a row. No other team is currently holding such a series – not even leaders Liverpool FC and pursuers Manchester City.

Things remain tight in the table, Liverpool (60 points) are just ahead of City (59) and Arsenal (58). Havertz played as a center forward on Saturday, he scored the 2-0 (24th) himself from close range, and the national player prepared the 3-0 by Bukayo Saka (65th). Saka scored in the fifth Premier League game in a row, while it was Havertz’s sixth goal of the season.

Arsenal have won every league game so far in 2024, including a 3-1 win against Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool. At the end of March the Londoners will play against Manchester City.

Defending champions City had completed their compulsory task on Saturday afternoon with significantly less momentum. Team manager Pep Guardiola’s team won 1-0 (1-0) at AFC Bournemouth. Phil Foden (24th) scored the Champions League winner’s goal, after the substitution Bournemouth missed some good opportunities.

Liverpool will face Chelsea FC in the League Cup final in London on Sunday (4 p.m./DAZN). Team manager Klopp could win the first title with the Reds after his departure announcement.
