KaDeWe Group relies on a leadership trio at the top

The KaDeWe Group has expanded its management to a trio.

Timo Weber was appointed Chief Retail Officer (CRO) and Simone Heift as Chief Merchandising Officer (CMO) as of November 1st, the KaDeWe Group announced on Thursday. Chief Financial Officer Michael Peterseim will take over as CEO (acting).

The appointment of the new members of the management follows the move of the previous CEO André Maeder to London to the Selfridges Group.

Leadership trio from our own ranks

All three members of the newly formed management trio have been part of the KaDeWe Group for several years. Weber ran the luxury department store Alsterhaus in Hamburg for four years before joining Berlin-based KaDeWe as general manager in 2018. At the turn of the year he took over the position of Retail Director and became part of the management of the entire group. Alexandra Bagehorn, who managed the Alsterhaus in Hamburg from 2019 to 2022, will take on the role of General Manager of KaDeWes.

The third member of the group, Heift, has been working as Director Buying & Merchandising at the KaDeWe Group for nine years and is a member of the management team. She previously worked as Fashion Director at Karstadt Warenhaus GmbH and as Head of Buying for the luxury mall Quartier 206.

“I am very pleased to welcome Simone Heift and Timo Weber, two experienced and successful retail and brand professionals from our own ranks, to the management,” Peterseim. “Both have played a key role in shaping the successful development of the KaDeWe Group and the transformation of the luxury department stores right from the start.”

The group’s full management now consists of a total of seven people and consists of Michael Peterseim, Chairman of the Management Board and CEO (acting), CMO Simone Heift, CRO Timo Weber as well as Janina Schüßler, Director Marketing Communications, Julia Lehmann, Director Merchandise Management, Lars Globisch, Director IT & Process Management and Karin Bergmann, Director People.
