“We want to commemorate Robin from our street in this way,” says neighbor Isabelle Busschaert. “Robin was a ray of sunshine, an incredibly positive boy. We will never forget his smile. When the sun shone, we heard Robin enjoying himself on his terrace. He made nice noises that made it clear that he was enjoying the sun and the warmth. We will miss him dearly.”
“The wake is especially a support for Ann, Erwin and the entire family. They are going through hell because of what happened, but we don’t want to think about that during this wake,” says Joost Boeve.
At the end of the vigil, Mama Ann briefly spoke: “Thanks to your warmth, we don’t feel alone tonight, thank you for that!”
