The most interesting game of the day

The league’s most festive match will be played today in Jyväskylä, when JYP celebrates its centenary as a club. Opposite JYP, like yesterday, is KalPa. Yesterday we played in Kuopio and JYP won that match 1–0, pretty much contrary to the events of the game. Despite the loss, KalPa took the shots of the match 53–23 and the goal score 3.5–1.2.

Based on the game we saw yesterday, KalPa might be in Jyväskylä today in a bit of a guest role. Also in the first meeting of the season at the end of September in Kuopio, JYP was 4-3 better, contrary to the events of the game. In that match, the shots went to the hosts 47-28 and the expected 2.3-1.8.

In terms of betting on KalPa, however, it is worth noting that the team has overachieved in expectations and then underachieved in the right finish for a long time. JYP has been able to fulfill its expectations much better than KalPa.

KalPa’s most significant change in composition compared to yesterday is that Stefanos Lekkas replace with paint Juha Jatkolan. This should count as a small plus for the people of Kuopio, even though Jatkola’s earnings have been on the rise recently. In the statistics of the whole season, Lekkas is still clearly ahead of Jatkola (save percentages 92.2% – 86.1% and goals conceded 1.52 – 3.03). Attack chains have also been mixed up, except for number one. KalPa’s optimal lineup lacks forwards Jaakko Rissanen mixed Oliver Kapanen.

JYP continues with its yesterday’s lineup, goalkeeper Wine from Vehvilai (90.5% and 2.61) up to. I myself don’t have actual statistics about the balances of the different teams’ festive games, but in some of these the away team has seemed to be traditionally strong for some reason. Despite all this, I don’t agree with Veikkaus’s odds that KalPan should now be the favorite on the away field. When betting on the winner, the best bet is the 2.50 offered for JYP’s actual game time win. In terms of the number of goals, yesterday’s match was almost a five-goal game for those who expected it, and even today in terms of goal number bets, I consider the promised 1.98 coefficient for more than 5.0 goals to be the best choice. JYP – KalPa starts at 18:30.

The best betting tip of the day

Friday’s best long-term idea can be found in Mesti’s RoKi – FPS match. The teams will now play doubles games in Rovaniemi on Friday and Saturday. Sometimes in these double games of the same teams in the regular season, the opening game has a nice saving mode, and the tempo of the game does not rise to the highest possible. Usually, this also means that the number of goals in the match is slightly below average.

I myself smell a bit of this spirit in this RoKi – FPS match. The fact that FPS has clearly scored the fewest goals in Mestis (only 29 goals in 17 matches in actual playing time) also speaks in favor of low goalscoring. Even in the goalkeeping sector of the teams, interesting things happen in this game, as the 24-year-old from the NCAA’s Lindenwood University made his debut in RoK’s goal Roni Salmenkangas and the player enrolled in Tappara will play his first Mestis match this season with the goal of FPS Vilho Heikkinen. From these starting points, the 1.76 offered for less than 6.0 goals in actual playing time is a borderline case, with my own odds limit being 1.75. RoKi – FPS starts at 18:30.
