JVG has managed to make a hit.
Suomiräpi’s veterans JVG have dominated the weekend’s playlists with new and old hits.
The music streaming service from Spotify’s Finnish Top 50 list shows that Jaren and Ville Gallen rhymes have been listened to hundreds of thousands of times on May Day, Sunday, May 1st. The duo released two new singles on Friday, April 29th, Amatimies and Weekend.
Amatimies keeps number one on the list, but WeekendThe song has surprisingly been beaten by JVG’s hit more than three years ago. Published in 2019 The eternal first of May gigs fourth on the list, which by the way consists mostly of recent releases.

The eternal first of May was released in February 2019, and since then it has spent 11 weeks at the top of Finland’s official singles chart.
The song was Finland’s most listened to on Spotify in 2019 and won the Song of the Year and Most Streamed Song of the Year awards at the Emma Gala. The eternal first of May has collected a total of more than 28 million listeners on Spotify.
Weekendtrack is ranked No. 8 on the Top 50 list, and as you browse further, you’ll find other JVG hits like Vamos ranked 21st and the duo’s breakthrough hit At the wedding ranked 47th.
Also new songs Amatimies and Weekend has been done in the spirit of May Day, JVG reported Instagramaccount at the beginning of the week.
