Juventus Turin said goodbye as expected. The 33-year-old Brazilian had not run for the top Italian club since mid-December. On Wednesday, his move to Flamengo was officially back to his homeland in Brazil. He signed a working paper by the end of 2026.
Two days earlier, Juventus had reported that the contract, which was originally valid until summer. DANILO had completed 213 competitive games since Manchester City’s change in summer 2019 for the Bianconeri and contributed nine goals and 14 templates. In 2019/20 he celebrated the Italian championship, 2020/21 and 2023/24 the trophy and 2020/21 the super cup.
The time in Turin ended in an unsightly way. In the past few weeks, Danilo himself has always emphasized that he had never pushed for a change. Now it goes back to Brazil and Rio de Janeiro, where he once again meets Alex Sandro. With the left-back, he already played together for FC Santos, FC Porto and Juventus as well as the Brazilian U20 selection, the Olympic contingent and the A national team (all joint games).
