AZ has won the third exhibition match of the preparation. After a lesser first half, the youthful B-team took care of the practice victory. The Greek Aris Thessaloniki was defeated on Wednesday during the training camp in Epe: 3-2.
In recent days, AZ was mainly about the absent. Ruben van Bommel was missing in Epe because of his upcoming transfer to PSV and was also not at a training camp. Sven Mijnans was on a training camp, but was missing due to a slight injury. The midfielder is also in the interest of the national champion. Aris, which was also a sparring partner last season, took the lead.
Noah Fadiga (former FC Volendam) shot hit behind goalkeeper Hobie Verhulst. In the subsequent phase, AZ showed more and more through an emerging Denso Kasius, who tested the Greek goalie several times. Yet the greatest chance of the Alkmaarders for Sem van Duijn, who headed the ball past the goal. In between, AZ was lucky that a gift from Alexandre Penetra was not unpacked by Clayton Diandy.

AZ had a completely different face in the second half. This was also partly due to the many changes (only Verhulst remained). From the first moment the young invaders wanted to show themselves. Ro-Zangelo Daal immediately hit the mark at his first chance and a little later Peer Koopmeiners did the same: 2-1. With that, the Alkmaarders turned it all over in no time. Mayckel Lahdo’s urge to apply was also rewarded with a goal.
Almost out of nowhere, Lindsay Rose headed out of a corner and the tension was back: 3-2. However, that tension did not ensure a new goal for AZ. This made the second victory of this practice campaign a fact. The next AZ practice match is next Saturday. Almere City is then the opponent from 1 p.m., that duel is also decided and again in Epe. NH Sport is also there.
