Juve, the Rome Prosecutor’s Office requests the acquisition of the financial statements as of 30 June 2022

The investigators are taking their first steps after moving the Prisma investigation from Turin to the capital

The Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office takes its first steps in the Prisma investigation. After the Court of Cassation, on 6 September, had declared the territorial incompetence of Turin by ordering the transmission of the documents to the Capital which is responsible for the investigation (passage which took place on 8 November), the Roman investigators today asked Juventus to acquire the documentation “relating, in particular, to the financial statements as of 30 June 2022”.

the club note

The news was given by the Juventus club in a note, with reference to “the investigations underway by the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office following the transfer of the criminal proceedings already pending at the Turin judicial authority”, which also reads: “In this context, the company has learned that investigations are pending at the Rome Prosecutor’s Office in relation to company representatives for the case referred to in art. 2622 of the civil code regarding the financial statements as at 30 June 2022. The company is not under investigation Given the content of the request for documentary acquisition, the company has reason to believe that the investigations concern the same matters (so-called capital gains from “cross operations” and so-called “salary maneuvers”) already the subject of the Turin investigation as well as of the Consob proceedings ex art. 154-ter of Legislative Decree 58/1998″.

the investigation

It is worth remembering that the Prisma criminal investigation involved 12 people under investigation, including former Juventus leaders (from Andrea Agnelli to Pavel Nedved, Fabio Paratici and Maurizio Arrivabene) and the company itself as a legal person. The charges, for various reasons, were those of market manipulation, obstruction of supervision and false invoicing.
