The German Fashion Association Germany eV has a new president. Justus Lebek from the clothing supplier Lebek International Fashion was elected “with a large majority” at the general meeting, the industry organization announced on Thursday.
He took over the honorary position from Gerd Oliver Seidensticker, who had been president of the association for 14 years. However, Seidensticker retains his seat on the executive board. The other members of the committee were also re-elected.
The new president outlined his goals in his inaugural speech: “Especially in today’s world, when disinformation is booming and the supposedly right answer to every topic seems only a ‘prompt’ away, the GermanFashion association with its diverse competence centers is taking on a more important role than ever,” explained Lebek. “I would like to continue this importance with the aim of further expanding our well-founded service offering and always having an open ear for new ideas from the members and the team.”
