Ice hockey coach Jussi Ahokas returns to Finland due to a medical concern in the family. The OHL team Kitchener Rangers piloted by Ahokka tells about it.
Ahokas will travel from Canada to Finland on Saturday and will be on the sidelines for the team’s activities for an unspecified period of time.
He is in his second season as the head coach of the Rangers, who play in the OHL series.

The Rangers, coached by Ahokka, are currently third in the OHL’s Western Conference.
Ahokas moved to Rangers for the 2023–2024 season from Turku Palloseura. He was the head coach of TPS in the seasons 2021–2023. Before that, he was the head coach of Koovola’s KooKoo for two seasons.
Ahokas led the Young Lions to the World Cup gold in 2019. He piloted the Rangers to the semifinals of the Western Conference last spring.
