On 12 July there will be a new Board of Provincial Executives or the provincial government. BBB, VVD, PvdA and CDA will then present the municipal agreement and which deputy will do what.
“The formation is going well and even the most difficult dossier agriculture/nature/nitrogen, which was expected in advance, is nicely balanced,” said BBB negotiator and party chairman Gert-jan Schuinder. “I read the interests of all parties at the table back in that file. We agree 95 to 98 percent on the content, it is now points and commas.”
So the five parties, led by formateurs Johan Baltes and Roelie Goettsch, are now starting to divide the finances for all parts and to close the budget.
Tonight the five politicians will talk about which deputy of which party will do what. Schuinder: “Each party has submitted its wish list to the formateurs. Which file they would like first and which one second. I know it’s going to be quite a puzzle.”
Drenthe will get at least four area deputies, an idea from the BBB. “In addition to your task as a deputy for agriculture or traffic, for example, you are also a deputy of north, south, east or west Drenthe. You are the point of contact for the residents for everything in your area. Drenthe is going to an evening about closing bus lines, but you are not the deputy of transport, then you take a public transport official with you.
