In keeping with the 40th anniversary of the album “Brothers in Arms” by the Dire Straits, an anniversary edition will be released on May 16 as a single LP vinyl, 5-LP deluxe and 3-CD deluxe edition. Now there is the opportunity to win two of the special new publications.
More about the Dire Straits
The Dire Straits emerged from the club and pub scene in 1977 and conquered the world with its roots guitar skirt, which was connected with eloquent texts. They were led by the singer-songwriter, record producers and composer Mark Knopfler from Geordie. The group published a total of six studio albums: “Dire Straits” (1978), “Communiqué” (1979), “Making Movies” (1980), “Love Over Gold” (1982), “Brothers in Arms” (1985) and “On Every Street” (1991).
“Brothers in Arms” was produced by Neil Dorfsman and Mark Knopfler and recorded in New York between November 1984 and March 1985. The fifth studio album of the Dire Straits contains the hitsingles “Money for Nothing”, “Walk of Life”, “Brothers in Arms”, “So Far Away” and “Your Latest Trick”.
The anniversary edition of the plate is initially identical to the original, but also contains a full length of a previously unpublished live concert.
