Kimmich is annoyed by DFB game
“We have to lead 3-0 after six minutes”

Germany ends the Nations League final Four in its own country. An avoidable end result.
Second game, second defeat. The “mini-European” in its own country ends with a disappointing result for Germany. If the performance was not right in the semi -finals against Portugal, at least the first half was a really good one in the game for third place. This is how Joshua Kimmich saw it at RTL: “After six minutes we have to lead 3-0. We are unhappily going 0-1 into the break.”
After the deficit, the German team “lost patience too early” in the second round and then no longer kept the structure. For opponents of France, the resulting counterattacks were “of course a perfect game”. Kimmich was annoyed about the appearance of the “Équipe tricolore” in the first half: “If you are honest, they didn’t want to win and then win anyway.”
National coach Julian Nagelsmann, on the other hand, initially focused on the positive conclusions of the game: “In the first half, we saw much more our team again, which was good,” he praised the DFB selection. Then the 37-year-old also noticed slight criticism: “you can take the lead with three to five top chances”.
Nagelsmann said the team with a view to the upcoming games this year after the summer break: “If we have the willingness not to invest less in any of the qualification games (WM, note of the editor) than today, then we will win the games.” She would have shown that despite failures, they could also play ten very good chances against a top team. The national coach summed up: “As far as the feeling is concerned, the game has a good time, of course not the result.”
An overall good international year now ended with two defeats for Germany, with which the hoped -for tailwind failed to fail a year before the World Cup.
